INFORMATION
Arrival
and Departure Times:
Cottage bookings are from Saturday to Saturday and 3 night short breaks
are available out of season. The cottages will be ready from 4.OOpm
on the day of your arrival and guests must leave by 1O.OOam on the day
of departure.
Electricity,
Heating and Hot Water:
Electricity and gas are included in the rental charge. Full oil fired
central heating and hot water are also supplied at no extra charge.
Pets
and Smoking:
For the convenience of all visitors the cottages are strictly no smoking
and no pets.
Bed
Linen:
All beds have electric blankets, duvets and pillows. All bed linen is
provided.
Towels:
These too are provided.
The
Kitchen / Dining Room:
Has tablecloths, napkins, tea towels and dishcloths.
Children:
High chair is available. The gardens are safe for children to play in
and to visit the animals.
Parking:
There is ample parking space near to each cottage. Bicycles can be stored
undercover.
Local
Services:
Within 3 miles each of 2 villages Kingsland and Shobdon has a post office/stores
and public houses which serve meals. Milk and newspapers can be delivered
daily. The nearest public telephone kiosk is half a mile away it Mortimers
Cross. The bus stop is also there for buses to Hereford.
The
nearest railway stations are at Leominster and Ludlow and they are on
the London Paddington /Newport link to Manchester and the North.
Cycling
and Walking:
There are quiet lanes, public footpaths, ancient hill forts and woods
surrounding The Buzzards. Offas Dyke passes within 10 miles of
here and the beautiful Mortimer Trail is 2 miles away.
Riding:
Within 2 miles there is a horse riding establishment which also provides
riding for the disabled. Swimming and Sports Centres Both Ludlow and
Presteigne have swimming pools, squash and badminton facilities.
Golf
